Seyhan Yılmaz


Born in 1968 in Yozgat/Turkey, the artist completed his undergraduate education in Gazi University, Faculty of Vocational Education, Department of Applied Arts Education, Department of Ceramics in 1994. He completed his master's degree in the Department of Ceramics at Hacettepe University Social Sciences Institute in 1999 and his Proficiency in Art degree in 2008. In 2015, he received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Plastic Arts / Ceramics. The artist, who participated in national and international biennials, triennials and many group exhibitions, took place as an invited artist at national and international symposiums. The artist has nine solo exhibitions and eight awards. Her works are in private and public collections abroad, as well as in countries such as Malaysia, Romania, Argentina, Serbia, Tunisia and Latvia, especially in Russia / Irkutsk Ceramic Museum. The artist, who received the title of professor in 2020, works as a lecturer at Kastamonu University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Ceramics and Glass and she also is the Head of the Ceramics Department.
